Original pencil drawing by noted illustrator / artist Arthur William Brown.
Brown, Arthur William.

1926. 16.25" x 24" board. The drawing takes up most of the board. The margins and edges have a small bit of soiling, and there are a few light spots of soiling on the image. There is also a 1" chip on the left margin, away from the image. This drawing depicts two businessmen conversing in an office. It probably appeared as an illustration for a story in the Saturday Evening Post or Cosmopolitan. Brown is perhaps best known for having done the illustrations for Booth Tarkington's novel The Magnificent Ambersons. The drawing is signed and inscribed by Brown on the lower right corner.
