Plan of Seattle. Report of the Municipal Plans Commission Submitting Report of Virgil G. Bogue Engineer, 1911.

Seattle: Lowman & Hanford Co., 1911. Paperback. 12" x 9". 191pp. Original printed wrappers. Wrappers heavily worn and soiled. Internally complete, but lacking two of the 18 separate maps called for. This work describes a proposed comprehensive plan for the growth of the city of Seattle. The plan combined the work of many people and folded in existing plans such as the Olmsted Brothers Plan for Seattle Parks of 1903. Bogue was a highly accomplished civil engineer, trained at Renssalaer Polytechnic. The maps are all in very nice, except for one, which has some edge wear. The two large general maps of Seattle are very nice. Map # 4, depicting the entire city and showing existing and proposed railways is colored with blue and red and apart from a few tears at the folds is particularly nice. Item #26328
