The Anthology of Another Town.
Howe, E. W. [Edgar Watson].

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1920. First edition Octavo. 181pp. A nice VG+ copy in a nice VG+ dust jacket with light wear but no major flaws. This novel written in the form of sketches of local town characters, a la Masters' 'Spoon River Anthology.' The book may indeed be a parody of Sherwood Anderson's "Winesburg, Ohio." That high spot of American literature was published in 1919, only one year before Howe's novel. Hardcover (Item ID: 2819)
