This copy signed and briefly inscribed by the author on the first leaf. Pellegrini was a much loved faculty member at the University of Washington, a wine maker, chef, and general bon vivant. This volume is Pellegrini's moving account of six Italians who emigrated to America to make new lives in the land of opportunity. One of those emigrants was his mother.
